The purpose of the IAM Mentoring program is to help our students stay focused on their goals and transition into their next phase of life. It may be a new grade in High School, transition to college, a new year in college, or launching their own business.
Amidst COVID-19, this year our program has a strong focus on facilitating ways our students can begin to heal and rebuild themselves for the next phase of their lives.
Mentoring will take place through the IAM Mentoring mobile app (available in all Apple and Google Play Stores). The IAM Mentoring Mobile app allows mentees and mentors to create their own profile pages, direct message each other, and share video, text and picture content. Mentors will be responsible for connecting with their mentee at least once a week through the mobile app and engaging in conversations about the new content.
If you are interested in mentoring our youth, you will need to complete a criminal background check, child abuse clearances and FBI fingerprinting BEFORE we are able to match you with a student and grant you access to the mobile app. If you have completed these in the last 6 months, you can submit copies of your current clearances.
All questions and inquires can be submitted to firstname.lastname@example.org.
